Ramayana Impresses With Scale, But Pacing Slows the Epic

Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, has been praised for its ambitious world-building, sweeping cinematography and large scale. A critic said the film's opening half feels stretched, while the second half gains urgency and a more involving spectacle.

Yash's Ravana was singled out as a commanding presence on screen, and Vivek Oberoi was also called a standout. Kapoor's Ram was described as taking time to win over viewers, with his performance growing stronger in later scenes when anger enters the story. Ravie Dubey's Lakshman was called a lively addition.

The romance between Ram and Sita, played by Sai Pallavi, was criticised for lacking chemistry. At the box office, the film opened to Rs 1.27 billion worldwide, trailing Adipurush.
