Ziina wins Dubai-it Award for Companies in Business
Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has named Dubai fintech firm Ziina the winner of the Dubai-it Award for Companies in the Field of Business.
Sheikh Hamdan, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, announced the award in a post on X. He said Ziina has made accepting payments by phone easier for businesses, with its payment volume passing $1.5 billion. The company now serves 500,000 users and supports 290,000 business owners, he said.
Ziina was founded in Dubai by siblings Faisal, Sarah and Talal Toukan, who set out to build an integrated financial platform. The company is named after their mother. Sheikh Hamdan praised the founders for building the business from the ground up and for creating an impact beyond the company itself.
The Dubai-it Award recognises individuals, projects, institutions and companies that turn ambitious ideas into measurable results. It is part of the Dubai-it initiative launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
