Raphinha's double and Yamal's early strike sink Aston Villa as Barcelona win 3-0
Barcelona beat Aston Villa 3-0 at Camp Nou in the Champions League, ending Villa's perfect start to the competition.
Lamine Yamal gave Barcelona the lead in the seventh minute, finishing into the far corner after Emiliano Buendía misplaced a pass. It was his 14th Champions League goal, and the score stayed 1-0 at half-time.
Raphinha doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute with a deflected effort, then struck again in the 64th minute, tapping in from a pass by João Cancelo. The two goals took Raphinha's Barcelona tally to 94, level with Ronaldinho. Barcelona had 63% possession, while Villa threatened on the counter.
The result moves Barcelona up to second and leaves Villa third, both on nine points, after Villa's first defeat of the league phase. Barcelona next travel to Sabah on Nov. 25 and host Manchester City on Dec. 8.
