At least 10 people were killed and 24 others were injured on Saturday when a minibus carrying workers collided with a heavy goods vehicle on the Middle Ring Road in Giza governorate, Egypt, the Ministry of Health and Population said. Ten of the injured are in unstable condition, while 14 have minor to moderate injuries.

Police and ambulances were sent to the scene after reports of the collision. The injured were taken to hospitals, and the bodies of the dead were moved to the morgue at October Central Hospital. Traffic police cleared the damaged vehicles to restore the flow of traffic on the road, which links several cities and residential areas in Greater Cairo.

The Public Prosecution is investigating the cause of the crash, including whether human error, a mechanical fault or other factors were involved. Investigators are examining the site and interviewing witnesses.
