Sachin Tendulkar names Michael Jackson biopic as a favourite film
Cricket great Sachin Tendulkar has said he enjoyed the recent Michael Jackson biopic, which reminded him of his childhood.
In a Reddit Ask Me Anything session on Tuesday, November 3, Tendulkar said he loved watching Michael, the film about the pop star, and that he grew up listening to Jackson's music.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the film was released in April 2026 and follows Jackson's rise from performing with his brothers in the Jackson 5 to global fame. Jaafar Jackson plays the lead role, with Juliano Valdi playing the young Jackson.
A sequel is already in development, and Miles Teller, who played Jackson's lawyer and manager John Branca in the first film, confirmed in May that a follow-up was being planned. Tendulkar, who played international cricket from 1989 to 2013, scored 100 international centuries and was part of India's 2011 World Cup-winning side.
