Rio Ferdinand lists Kent mansion for sale months after moving to Dubai
Former England defender Rio Ferdinand has put his Kent family home on the market, months after relocating his family to Dubai.
Former England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has listed his seven-bedroom mansion in Farnborough Park, Orpington, Kent, for £10.5 million (Dh51.84 million). The 12,500 square foot property sits on 20 acres of landscaped grounds. Ferdinand bought the estate for about £2.7 million in 2008. It includes a gym, several reception rooms, a studio, an office, a triple garage and a large principal suite.
Ferdinand moved to Dubai with his wife Kate and their children in August 2025, after leaving his role as lead football pundit at TNT Sports, a post he had held for a decade. He said his children's education was a major factor in the decision. His business, Football Escapes, is also based in the UAE.
The family is understood to be living in a seven-bedroom villa in Al Barari. Another seven-bedroom villa in the same community recently sold for Dh121.2 million. Ferdinand has said the lifestyle, safety and environment in Dubai suit his children.
