Nora Fatehi Summoned to Delhi Court as Witness in Rs 200 Million Extortion Case
A Delhi court has asked actor Nora Fatehi to appear on November 2 as a prosecution witness in a Rs 200 million extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has directed Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi to appear on November 2 as a prosecution witness. She has been listed as witness LW-3 in the third supplementary chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing.
The case concerns alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is accused of extorting around Rs 200 million from Aditi Singh, wife of former Ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh, between 2020 and 2021. Investigators allege he posed as senior government officials while lodged in Rohini Jail and promised to secure her husband's release in return for money.
Investigators had earlier questioned Fatehi about her alleged links with Chandrashekhar and his wife, Leena Maria Paulose, and recorded her statement before a magistrate. They also asked her about an event she attended in Chennai in December 2020.
