Two young men die in Jalandhar flyover crash, including Honey Singh's nephew
Two friends returning from a birthday party were killed when their car struck a tractor-trolley parked on a flyover in Jalandhar, Punjab, police said.
Two friends returning from a birthday party died early on Sunday after their Volkswagen hit a Municipal Corporation tractor-trolley parked on a flyover near the Police Lines area in Jalandhar. The car was travelling from BMC Chowk towards BSF Chowk when the collision happened. Sanitation workers had parked the trolley to collect garbage while they cleaned the flyover.
Station House Officer Sahil Chaudhary said police received the call at around 3 am local time. Five friends had left the party together, but three had already been dropped home, so only the two victims were in the car. The dead were identified as Vidit Olak, nephew of singer Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Aarav Talwar, son of the owner of Pappy Sweets in Jalandhar.
Honey Singh, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, posted an emotional message on Instagram, saying the loss of his nephew was devastating. The families chose not to pursue legal action, and the bodies were handed over to them.
