UAE sweep past India to finish Group C with two wins at Hong Kong Sixes
The UAE beat India by six wickets on Saturday, following their earlier one-wicket win over Pakistan, and advanced to the Cup semi-finals.
The UAE beat India by six wickets in Group C of the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 on Saturday, their second straight win in the 12-team tournament. Batting first, India reached 94 for six in their six overs. Rahul Tripathi scored 24 off seven balls, while T Natarajan hit 38 off 14 deliveries, including four sixes. Zahid Ali took three wickets for the UAE.
Chasing the target, captain Khalid Shah made 52 off 14 balls and Ansh Tandon added 39 off 12, and the pair put on an unbeaten opening stand that carried the UAE close to victory without losing a wicket. Earlier, the UAE had beaten Pakistan by one wicket, with Shah hitting 71 off 20 balls as they chased 107 in six overs.
Group winners qualify for the Cup semi-finals. The UAE will play Australia, who topped Group A, in the semi-final, and the winners will contest Sunday's final.
