The Shahid Afridi Foundation, set up in 2014, works across education, healthcare, clean drinking water and emergency relief, and its housing programme has grown considerably. Afridi announced the milestone on social media, thanking donors and supporters for their trust. The new homes give families shelter as well as access to solar power.

In June 2025, Afridi said the foundation had built 350 homes in Sindh and Balochistan, so the latest figure marks further expansion of the project. He has asked the public to keep contributing so that more families can own a home, and he encouraged people to give through SMS, saying even small donations help.

Afridi, who played 27 Tests, 398 one-day internationals and 99 T20 internationals for Pakistan, has continued charitable work since retiring from cricket.
