Abu Dhabi schedules three mass races from November to January
Runners and cyclists in Abu Dhabi have three organised events to look forward to between November 2026 and January 2027, ranging from short community runs to a 150km cycling race.
The ADNOC Al Ain Half Marathon will be held on November 7, 2026, in Al Ain, with four race distances: 21.1km, 10km, 5km and 2.5km. The event is open to runners of different experience levels, and organisers say race-day arrangements will include professional timing, official race apparel, finisher medals and an event village. It also forms part of the build-up to the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon.
The AD Ports Group Gran Fondo Abu Dhabi returns for its fifth edition on December 20. The 150km point-to-point race runs from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi with a scheduled 7am start and is open to professional, amateur, masters and recreational cyclists. This year the event has joined the UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualifier circuit. Organisers said the programme aims to promote Abu Dhabi as a major destination for international cycling events.
Cyber Run and Ride 2.0 takes place on January 30 in Abu Dhabi. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Cyber Security Council, the community event offers running distances of 2.5km, 5km, 10km and 21km, along with a 12km cycling ride, and is intended to encourage physical activity and healthier lifestyles.
