The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced lower petrol and diesel rates for November, effective Sunday, November 1. Super 98 will cost Dh4.16 per litre, down from Dh4.40, while Special 95 falls to Dh4.04 and E-Plus 91 to Dh3.97. Diesel is set at Dh4.75. Motorists filling a 60-litre tank of Special 95 will pay Dh242.40, a saving of Dh14.40 compared with October.

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment said marine pollution has declined significantly following the oil spill involving the GEM NO. 2 tanker. The leak has been stopped at its source, and technical teams are continuing mechanical recovery and clean-up work with approved chemical dispersants. The ministry said fish and food products in local markets are safe to eat and that temporary beach closures are precautionary.

Flight disruptions continue on some routes to Saudi Arabia. Etihad has cancelled services between Abu Dhabi and Dammam, and between Riyadh and Jeddah, through November 5, while Emirates has cancelled selected Dubai–Riyadh and Dubai–Dammam flights. Singapore Airlines has extended the suspension of its Dubai services until February 28, 2027. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines before travelling. Brent crude futures rose 2.54 per cent to $117.80 a barrel.
