Indians can now pay for attractions in Dubai and Singapore via UPI
Indian travellers can book tickets at Burj Khalifa's At the Top observation deck and at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore using UPI apps, the Ministry of Finance said.
The Ministry of Finance said on Friday that visitors from India can now use their preferred UPI apps to pay for online bookings at At the Top, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. The UAE service was set up through a partnership involving NPCI International Payments Limited, UAE payment provider NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment, and At the Top is the first UAE attraction to accept UPI for online bookings.
In Singapore, the facility covers Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, through a partnership with the payment institution FOMO Pay. The ministry noted that Singapore welcomed 1.2 million Indian visitors in 2025.
UPI is currently accepted in 10 countries, and Uzbekistan is expected to become the 11th following a commercial agreement announced in August. The ministry said the aim is to make ticket purchases easier for Indian visitors without currency conversions.
