A 23-year-old MBA student, Yashasvi Rohilla, died after falling from the sixth floor of Poornima University in Jaipur on Saturday. According to preliminary information, she had recently secured a job placement and had been seen interacting with classmates shortly before the incident. She left the classroom, made a phone call, briefly returned to leave her mobile phone behind, and then went towards the rooftop. Classmates who noticed her there rushed to stop her but could not reach her in time. University staff took her to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in an emergency vehicle, where she was declared dead. Police have taken her bag and mobile phone into custody, and her body is in the hospital mortuary. University managing director Rahul Sindhi said she was academically bright, and the scheduled mid-semester examination was postponed. Relatives gathered at the hospital questioned the university's security arrangements, including how a student could reach the rooftop, and pointed to government safety guidelines issued after an earlier incident at a school. The family has not yet filed a formal complaint, and police said they would take further action once one is received.
