Omar Abdullah and Nidhi Razdan announce marriage

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and journalist Nidhi Razdan announced their marriage on Saturday through posts on social media. People familiar with the matter said the couple married in New Delhi on Friday, October 30, under the Special Marriage Act.

Family members from both sides were present as witnesses. Abdullah shared photographs of the couple on X, and Razdan also posted about the occasion.

The Supreme Court had dissolved Abdullah's marriage to Payal Abdullah by mutual consent on July 31, 2026. The couple, who married in 1994, had lived apart for several years. Razdan has reported extensively on Indian politics and international affairs and works as a news anchor.
