Dubai-raised 10-year-old publishes book and pledges earnings to animal welfare
Aryahi Tiwari, a Year 6 Indian student in Dubai, has published her first book and is directing its earnings to animal welfare and cow shelters.
Aryahi Tiwari, a 10-year-old Year 6 student who has lived in Dubai for more than four years, has published her first book, Paw-sitively Royal. The story is told through the eyes of a dog and reflects her long-standing interest in animals. Tiwari said the project showed her that Dubai encourages people to turn bold ideas into action.
Tiwari is a certified dog trainer, a role she said has helped her understand animal behaviour. She has pledged all earnings from the book to animal welfare, including support for cow shelters, and has donated Dh5,000 so far. She said she plans to keep contributing.
Her interest in giving back, she said, was shaped by her family. Her family roots are in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and Jaipur in Rajasthan. Before moving to Dubai she lived in Singapore and Indonesia, and she credited her school, Nord Anglia International School Dubai, with encouraging her varied interests.
