Dubai Health Keeps Top Epic Rating for Second Straight Year
Dubai Health has retained the highest Epic Gold Star Level 10 rating for its electronic health record system for a second consecutive year.
Dubai Health has again received Epic Gold Star Configuration Level 10 for its electronic health record system, placing it among the 5 per cent of healthcare institutions worldwide at this level. The hospital met 94 per cent of the programme's configuration criteria and recorded an 82 per cent score on the 'In Use' measure, which reflects how widely advanced Epic features are adopted by clinical and operational teams. Epic announced the recognition at its UGM 2026 event in Wisconsin, US.
Epic is used by more than 700 healthcare institutions worldwide to manage patient information and coordinate care. Its Gold Star programme assesses how well organisations configure and use the system, and Level 10 is its highest distinction. Atif Albraiki, Chief Digital and AI Officer at Dubai Health, said the recognition reflects efforts to make technology support patients and staff and to enable safer, better connected care.
Dubai Health is expanding its use of Epic tools. A patient app lets inpatients and emergency patients view daily schedules, medications and educational material and contact their care team, and it remains usable after discharge. A Fast Pass feature offers earlier appointments when cancellations open up, while generative AI summaries give clinicians concise overviews of patient histories and recent care.
